After a successful Kickstarter funding, and a month-long session cloistered in the studio, folk rock family act The Currys are celebrating the release of their first full-length album, Follow, fresh from the hallowed boards of White Star Sound. Formerly an acoustic act consisting of Jimmy, Tommy, and Galen Curry, the trio has added Matt Kauper on bass and Johnny Humphreys on drums to fill out its sound. As the subject of a yet-to-be-released PBS documentary filmed during three weeks of touring in Ireland, The Currys prepare for a breakout year.

Friday 1/24. $7, 9pm. The Southern, 103 S. First St., 977-5590.
