Police seize $11,400 in drugs

The Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement (JADE) task force made two arrests September 27 and seized approximately $11,400 worth of cocaine and marijuana in two separate undercover operations.

Leodan Rivas is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. JADE officers seized $3,400 of cocaine in his arrest.

In Albemarle County, JADE officers arrested Leodan Rivas, 28. He is charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. He was also served an outstanding felony warrant for possession of cocaine. Officers seized 34 grams of coke with a street value of about $3,400.

Steven John Nagy is charged with the growing and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. JADE officers seized $8,000 in his arrest.

Charlottesville resident Steven John Nagy was arrested by members of a JADE task force, who seized approximately eight pound of marijuana. According to a press release sent by Sergeant Joe Hatter, the marijuana has a potential street value of about $8,000.

The 26-year-old Nagy has been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and growing marijuana. Both are felony charges.

Investigations into Rivas and Nagy remain ongoing.
