Hello, Charlottesburgh!

Soon, every restaurant in town will seat patrons on stacks of Marshall amps, and replace all silverware with guitar picks. Arenas in town will host the same epic acts as cities like Detroit and Los Angeles. 2006 made our little city a mandatory stop for the powerhouses of rock ’n’ roll. Next year, watch as our city becomes the hot spot in Virginia for new acts trying to make it big and classic acts trying to make it last. Who knows, maybe we’ll even see a few more ladies taking the stage! Here’s a partial list of confirmed acts to catch live next year.

George Strait January 19, John Paul Jones Arena

Red Hot Chili Peppers and Gnarls Barkley January 26, John Paul Jones Arena

Vashti Bunyan and Vetiver February 4, Satellite Ballroom

Jonathan Richman February 10, Starr Hill Music Hall

B.B. King February 18, The Paramount Theater

Billy Joel February 23, John Paul Jones Arena

Deerhoof February 24, Satellite Ballroom

Explosions in the Sky March 16, Starr Hill Music Hall

Justin Timberlake and Pink March 18, John Paul Jones Arena
