We were thrilled to have Corey Harris—the locally based blues musician and a 2007 MacArthur "genius" grant recipient—stop by C-VILLE last week with his Taylor acoustic and play a trio of tunes for us before his November 4 gig at The Southern. Harris—who just released blu.black, his second album for Telarc Records and ninth proper LP—drew on songs from his latest album and 2005's Daily Bread, and even threw in his killer arrangement of "Special Rider Blues."
