The parents of missing VT student Morgan Harrington were in town yesterday to deliver their daughter’s dental records to the state police.

The Newsplex reports that Dan and Gil Harrington put posters of their daughter and painted the family symbol on the Copeley Road bridge, near the John Paul Jones Arena where Harrington was attending a Metallica concert on Saturday, October 17.

According to the report, Harrington’s parents believe she was abducted and accomplices are involved.

For clues leading to Harrington’s return, the family has put up a $100,000 reward. The band Metallica has added $50,000.

I still think the girlfriends knows more, something just don't add up. Her girlfriends could have found a way to help her get back in,or they should have went with her. I know when I was a younger,we always hang out together, and never let one by theirsevles! So these girls knows something, and are affraid to say.

Wow, how sad. Such an incredibly sad thing to be giving your child's dental record to police, and all that implies. My prayers go out for this family.

The three things that don't add up to me are:

The police have never issued a real timeline of Morgan's movements leading up to her disappearance.

No footage at all of Morgan, even though she apparently tried various doors.

The police have not been specific as to how or when Morgan was injured;they have not been specific as to how Morgan ended up on the OUTSIDE of the Arena. And the UVA police logs don't reflect any purse found in the RV lot, in fact, the ONLY log entry is Oct. 18th around 8 AM and the purse was found in THE CAGE PARKING LOT. Have they ID'd all the folks who parked that night or the next morning and walked through the Cage Parking Lot?

I agree, with "Deb"... something just isnt right with the friends. Its one thing that they let her go somewhere alone in a HUGE arena, but to leave the area completely, with HER car is just outrageous. Hypothetically, if Morgan and returned safely & unharmed to her dorm that evening, there's no doubt in my mind that she would've been pissed at her friends for leaving her, esp with her car. Im positive she would've been pissed even if they didnt have her car. Thats something that "friends" dont do!!! I have a friend that was once left in richmond by friends, and we live in Newport News...turns out, it was a set-up, the girls pretended to be her friend, got her to attend a so called nitgh of partying with them, all for them to run out of the club and leave her in richmond, and she was 4 mths pregnant! Granted, she couldve made a wiser decision in regards to partying and being prego, but the point is ppl who dont care or dont like you, do things like that!!! My prayers go out to her family, but i really hope VA state police take a closer look and her "friends" verses focusing on strangers and enemies!!

watch and see if the purse doesnt end up being the like the car. first the car wasnt there, then it was, then it wasnt, then it was. weird how nobody knows where the car is. now the purse was found here now its found over there. took over a month to figure this out. just like you heard nothing for a month and then it leaks out she was talking to some bb players. then le reports she was hitching a ride after talking to them. now they say her purse was found in a different lot then the bb players where in. cause they were in the rv lot the place the purse had been found up to now. the vsp spokesperson said information is slow because they wont release anything that isnt fact. so wahts the deal with the purse then.

I agree with the comments about the friends. I think the police should re-interview them and really lean on them. I think they know more than what they are saying. Something happened here, and I think it began with the friends. God help me if I ever have friends like these!

Real Investigative Reporting can't come too soon for this case! This one demands media use their brains and not be mouthpieces for LE. A young woman colleged age disappears while school is in session in Charlottesville VA in Oct.2009 and we never heard or continue to hear from UVA police chief (Are they still assuming a DUAL LEAD role? IF not, why haven't they UPDATED THEIR UVA POLICE SITE and sent out information across campus with ACCURATE UP TO DATE CONTACT INFO - be sure to include the REWARD and CRIMESTOPPER NUMBER! If yes, come on media do your job! What if Morgan was your family! Girl ends up on outside of facility, facility won't let her back in, girl goes POOF, facility and LE (by the way who with UVA police is CART trained?), and LE and Facility are SAME private COMPANY? WHAT IS THAT?

LE misused time and misinformed the public MULTIPLE times- still inconsistencies out there right? And at this moment there is a confusing array of phone numbers, the most important CRIMESTOPPERS 434-977-4000 NOT published regularly, does not include a TOLL FREE number (this concert and the venue have international connections). Anyone else bugged that the NEW CONTACT CENTER VSP set up was the cell phone number for the VSP P R manager? Only phone numbe the state police could find. It has been weeks and yet that number is still out there as Corrine Geller's number, NOT AN ISOLATED number for task force WORKING MORGAN HARRINGTON CASE. OH, WAIT.. there is no task force right? When there is, there is a AT ONE, oftentimes multiple news conferences where EACH MEMBER answers questions, right? Has UVA said a PEEP on camera?

Personally I hope HOMELAND SECURITY will step in and take a hard look at the level of security UVA has, especially around JPJ Arena. That school is too close to DC! If a young woman can vanish and the school and state police cant do any better than this, then what else could happen in Charlottesville?

I'm a guy, and don't know what it's like to be a girl, but I know with my friends we would have never left anyone behind like that. I think there is more to this than the friends are saying

I think it is so very sad. My heart goes out to her family. I just don't understand how her friends did not try to help her in someway, my daughter has been to a lot of shows, she enen said something does not add up. My daughter even said security could have let her wait inside what would that hurt. I would not ever won't to go through what her parents are going through.God bless them. Please keep them in your prayers.
