John Mark Donnelly was sentenced today and will spend more than seven years in prison for running a Ponzi scheme.

Donnelly took more than $5 million from 30 investors.

According to the Associated Press, in May Donnelly pleaded guilty to fraud. He distributed the money he received from his complex trading strategy to other investors instead of actually trading the money as per agreements with his clients.
