With the local elections less than a week away, C-VILLE asked candidates to speak directly to readers.

We gave every candidate in each race a question to answer with the promise to publish their answers verbatim.

Finally, the number of inmates in Virginia prisons is rising, and with it, the number of broken families. We asked candidates representing the 57th and 58th District in the House of Delegates to assess what changes to the legislature could be made to ultimately curb this phenomenon.
