Program highlights the significance of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, specifically Title VII of the Act, and discusses changes in the demographics of the workplace since the passage of this Act. A panel discussion focuses on “doing well while doing good in the public sector” and “passing the torch” to the next generation entering the workforce. Panelists will include Maurice Jones (City Manager, City of Charlottesville), Nancy O’Brien (Charlottesville Mayor, 1976-1978), Ebony Walden (AICP Neighborhood Planner, City of Charlottesville), and Abigail Turner, Esq. (Of Counsel to the Legal Aid Justice Center, Charlottesville).
