Whomever is chosen as President on November 6, will govern during the anniversaries of some of the most significant events in our country’s history: the Emancipation Proclamation, the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and the end of the Civil War.  Director of UVA Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, Gibson, sits down with Andrea Douglas executive director of the African American Heritage Center to discusses whether we should we view this year’s coming election within the context of these events.
