English Country dancing is the precursor to modern contra dancing and Scottish Country dancing. The movement style is the dance walk, i.e., walking in time to the music, with a light step and elevated carriage. All are welcome, no partner needed. Do bring a separate pair of shoes for dancing so you won’t have to dance in your street shoes, which often have grit in the soles that can mar the floor.
