The AP just called the Governor’s race for Bob McDonnell, 63 percent to 37 percent. The State Board of Elections website says that 36 percent of precincts have reported.

"It’s a wonderful night to be a Republican in the Commonwealth of Virginia," says Republican Chairman Christian Schoenwald.

With 33 percent of precincts reporting, Republican Board of Supervisors candidate Rodney Thomas currently has an 8 percent lead over Democratic challenger David Slutzky.
